The North West Development Commission (NWDC) is under the Federal Ministry of Regional Development. It has announced the opening of the NWDC Scholarship for undergraduate and postgraduate foreign studies. This scholarship is for candidates from the North-West region with excellent academic backgrounds in:
- Engineering
- Medical Sciences
- ICT
- Education

Requirements
- Applicants must be from the North-West region (Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, & Zamfara).
- Age limit: 35 years for Undergraduate and MSc applicants, and 40 years for PhD applicants.
- Undergraduate students: Must have at least 5 credits, including Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- Master’s applicants: Must have at least a second Class upper in their first degree.
- PhD applicants: Must have a least CGPA of 4.00 in their MSc degree.
