2025 MTN Scholarship for Science and Technology and Blind Students

Students in Nigerian public tertiary institutions (universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education) can now apply for the 2025 MTN Scholarships.

MTN Scholarships is part of our youth development initiative. It provides an annual opportunity. This is to recognize and reward dedicated, high-achieving students from all Nigerian public tertiary institutions. To address the diverse needs of our exceptional scholars, we have established the following two scholarship categories:

  • MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS)
  • MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS)

MTN Scholarship 2025 Requirements

MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS) Requirements:

  • Applications are open to students who have completed their second-semester 200-level examinations. These students are progressing to 300-level. Applications also include those currently enrolled in 300-level. This is due to varying academic calendars across public tertiary institutions.
  • STEM students at public universities and colleges of education must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0/4 or 3.5/5 (second-class upper credit).
  • STEM students in public polytechnics must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0 (upper credit) from the Ordinary National Diploma (OND) program to be eligible for the Higher National Diploma (HND) program.
  • STEM students with an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) and a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0 (upper credit) are eligible for 300-level/3rd year Direct Entry admission at a public university.

MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS) Requirements:

  • Blind students enrolled in 200- and 300-level courses can apply. They must be at any public tertiary institution in Nigeria, such as universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.
  • only 300-level students are eligible to apply for the MTN Scholarship. This is applicable when studying law, a 5-year program for blind students.
  • Blind students enrolled in universities or colleges must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.5.
  • Blind students in public polytechnics
  • with a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.0 from the Ordinary National Diploma (OND) program to be eligible for the Higher National Diploma (HND) program.
